Sorry, I don’t have any horror stories, but I’m sure you’ll get your share. It helps to take something to read and expect to wait, but that’sĬourts, roads, ports, military, customs, and all the other stuff governments run: Maybe I’ve just been lucky, but I don’t feel oppressed or enraged by the way our government (national and local) runs The way they’re going in California, the DMV might be closed on the day I need it, but so far I haven’t had a bad experience there. My boss was shocked to see me back the same day. The DMV is around the corner from my office, so, onĪ Friday afternoon I went there without an appointment, did the test, got the eye test, and a photo and was out in an hour and a half. The DMV: A few years ago, I realized my drivers’ license had expired four days after it did and I was travelling the next day, so would likely need it. Also, I wouldĭie without the Netflix DVDs that come in, yes! The mail! Yes, I do the streaming thing, it’s great, but until the complete “Man from U.N.C.L.E.” is on available on streaming video, I would We get to send paper letters and whatnot across the country for cheap compared to any other way, except email, yes, I know. So I don’t understand the negativity about the post office either. I also have a PO Box that I’m very happy to pay for so I for sure get my mail and I feel more secure about a lot of Send Media Mail to obscure places in Alabama, just don’t, use Priority Mail). I’ve only had one thing ever go missing in ten plus years (don’t Post Office: I buy a lot of stuff on the internet that gets mailed to me and I mail a lot of stuff out, and I just adore my local post office. Were so high (haha) that doctors expected healthcare to become socialized and they were simply getting while the getting’s good. But it must be put to a stop, in the 70’s a doctor admitted my father when asked why doctors fees That has evolved within the present context is shortsighted, and will cost more then it’s worth. Calling for a dramatic restructuring of the payment system without adequate consideration for the system Giving greater power to the largest hospital systems, who possess the greatest treatment resources$$$. I think this, while possibly exagerated by providers, may be a relevant component in the hc market.Īdditionally the current market has been spiraling out of control due to greed, profiteering, over-prescription of costly drugs and proceedures and poor preventative tactics- forcing smaller hc providers out. In the way of increasing prices for proceedures and charges to insurance companies due to lower then promised payments to providers by medicare- effectively decreasing medicare cost increases and increasing Medicare increases, I believe that your (brief) analysis may have left out one of the main components blamed by healthcare providers as a source for rising costs within the private sector. Refering back to a recent post comparing healthcare cost increases in the private sector versus I consider myself to be very liberal but the socialization of healthcare is going to present “bumps”. and been helped by very nice ladies the last couple times that I’ve gone. I agree with you that the DMV doen’t have to be an undoubtedly horrible experience.
